Julie Miehe
Julie has the combined experience of an Australian solicitor, and a French juriste d'affaires. She is currently a Consulting Principal at Keypoint Law Pty Limited and has extensive experience working with both Australian and foreign corporations. She provides advice on investments and operations in Australia and across the Pacific region. Her specific focus is on commercial and corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, energy and resource project, and construction and tourism projects.
Julie is also actively involved in the Australian, French and Pacific Island business communities. She is:
A current Federal Director, and Federal and Queensland Chapter Secretary of FACCI.
A member of the executive committee of the Australia Pacific Islands Business Council.
A member of the executive committee of the Australia Papua New Guinea Business Council.
Through her involvement with FACCI, she uncovered a real need from French-speaking individuals to French companies based in Brisbane for a French-Australian school offering a bilingual program following both French and Australian school curricula. After intense work with the assistance of a team of volunteers over several years, the French-Australian bilingual program finally opened at Tingalpa State School in 2015 and has now one class for each year from Prep to Year 6.
Julie has been travelling around the Oceania region including Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands since 1992. She loves travelling for pleasure or business and discovering new countries and cultures and meeting new people. She is in a de-facto relationship with a successful entrepreneur and the proud mother and stepmother of 4 children.
