FANS members elect new Committee during its AGM

With the presence of representatives and VIP, FANS concludes a bright year.

FANS (French-speaking Association of the North Shore) hosted its Annual General Meeting on Thursday, 6th June.

The AGM was honored by the presence of Martin Juillard, the Consul-General of France in Sydney and Killarney Heights Public School Principal Gillian Tegg. It provided an opportunity to discuss the recent and upcoming activities of FANS.

The Association extends a huge thank you to outgoing FANS President Janos Jersch for his 8 years of service as a Committee member. His countless hours of volunteer work have greatly benefited the community and the association, and his passion for bilingual education has inspired many others.

FANS also bids farewell to Terrence Moloney, who has completed a record-breaking run as Public Officer.

Welcome and congratulations to the newly elected FANS Committee members:

  • President – Clémence Duprat
  • Vice President – Jérémy Dupuit
  • Treasurer – Sophie Le Gall
  • Secretary – Isabelle Dellerba
  • Public Officer – Andrew Rowe
  • General Members – Ewa Douroux, Gabrielle Beckenham, Marine Hautemont, Xavier Heyman

FANS manages and delivers a bilingual program in a public school on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Students follow the NSW school curriculum and school calendar, and are learning daily in both languages. Each class is taught collaboratively, with both Department of Education teachers and the qualified FANS native-speaking teachers of French working as a team.
