Tanya Pimblett has over 15 years’ Defence Industry experience and 18 years’ experience in commercial, procurement and supply chain roles.

Tanya began her procurement career at SA Water and commenced working in Defence, at ASC, in October 2006, as a commercial specialist on the Air Warfare Destroyer program. Tanya has a Bachelor of Business, a Diploma in Government Procurement and a Diploma in Project Management; she has also undertaken study in Asset Management, leadership and professional management.

As ASC’s Head of Commercial and Supply Chain, Tanya is responsible for establishing key relationships and leading the commercial and supply chain function within the Maritime Services Group, including leading the commercial, estimating, risk and procurement activities and optimising ASC’s supply chain capability crucial to this. Tanya ensures that ASC leverages its 30-year naval build and sustainment capabilities for future projects.

Before undertaking this role, Tanya worked in key supply chain and contract management roles, including as a subject matter expert in bid teams, contract management and negotiations of complex and major contracts and leading supply chain capability development projects. Tanya also established and managed ASC’s Procurement Office in Spain, as part of the AWD program, and led the supply support project for the Air Warfare Destroyer platform system.

ASC is the builder and sustainer of the Collins Class submarine and shipbuilder of the Air Warfare Destroyer. ASC is Australia’s largest locally owned defence prime contractor, with more than 1,300 employees across its operations in South Australia and Western Australia.
