Simon Jones commenced with Cycling Australia in April 2017 as the Performance Director of the Australian Cycling Team. Tasked with leading the development and implementation of the high performance strategy across the Olympic cycling disciplines, Simon is focused on what the team needs to do to improve performance through the power of science, technology and innovation, in support of medal winning outcomes for Tokyo 2020.

Simon has previously served as Head of Performance Support and Innovation at the multiple Tour de France winning pro team, Team Sky.
