Kathie Standen is currently the Acting Deputy Director-General Energy in the Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Energy.
Prior to the role, Kathie held a number of Senior Executive positions across the in the Energy Division with responsibility for, amongst other things, regulation and pricing within the retail market, consumer issues and large scale renewables, energy emergency, biofuels, regulation and governance of Queensland’s government owned corporations.
Prior to working in the energy portfolio, Kathie worked in a number of economic portfolios including Transport and Main Roads and Health. She holds a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) from the University of Queensland and a Masters of Public Administration from the Australia New Zealand School of Government.
