Heather MontgomerieDirector, COVID-19 Response in the Department for Innovation and Skills

Heather Montgomerie holds the role of Director, COVID-19 Response in the Department for Innovation and Skills.  This function of this role is to coordinate the agency’s response and recovery actions to support small businesses in South Australia navigate a COVID19 environment, and to respond to the capability requirements of South Australian businesses as the economy recovers.

Heather is also Director, Partnerships and Business Development, with the objective of increasing the awareness and uptake of the Department’s offerings to support South Australian businesses to develop, attract and maintain the capability they need to innovate, grow and prosper.  Heather has line management responsibility of Immigration SA, whose responsibility is to assist South Australian businesses to attract international skills, investment and export opportunities.

Heather has held a number of senior management positions in local and state government, has a Master of Business Administration (AGSM) and is currently studying Psychological Science and Sociology (UniSA).
