Deanna McMaster is a Partner in the Workplace team. She has a broad range of workplace law experience with a focus on work health and safety, industrial strategy, enterprise bargaining, discrimination and general litigation. Deanna advises clients across various sectors including government, oil & gas, mining, electricity, manufacturing, agribusiness and transportation (including rail and heavy vehicles).
Deanna works with employers to manage incidents, including the internal investigation and investigation by the regulator. Deanna has relationships within the regulators and relies on these connections to assist in the response. Her practice also involves providing straightforward advice in relation to health and safety compliance, often in the context of construction and government sectors and in relation to the engagement and management of principal contractors.
She advises various government and non-government Boards and Executive Leadership Teams in relation to personal, regulatory obligations arising under safety regimes.
Deanna also has particular expertise in managing the employment and industrial issues which arise in large scale corporate transactions and also assists her clients to develop effective industrial strategies.
