Chris Ruffa is the Co-Head of the Investment Banking in Australia focused on Energy and Infrastructure sectors. He has been with BNP Paribas since 1996 and has over 25 years’ experience in the Energy and Infrastructure sectors across EMEA, Americas and APAC having worked in Paris, London, New York and Sydney, with expertise in project advisory, capital raising and financing across all debt products.  Chris covers a broad range of clients within the Energy and Infrastructure sectors in Australia ranging from clients pursuing project finance and event driven opportunities to frequent DCM issuers.

A key area of interest for Chris consistent with the bank’s global objective is to support clients in the transition to a low carbon economy – a challenge which is pronounced in Australia. To do date that has been through the financing of renewable projects and acquisitions as well as encouraging corporate clients to stretch their ESG objectives through sustainable finance product incentives.  In that context Chris has had the opportunity to lead numerous innovative and Australian market first transactions.
